Welding and Welding Joints

 Welding:

 Welding

Welding is that the process by which two pieces of metal are often joined together. The process of welding doesn't merely bond the 2 pieces together as in brazing and soldering, but, through the utilization of utmost heat and sometimes the addition of other metals or gases, causes the metalic structures of the 2 pieces to hitch together and become one. There are variety of various welding methods, including spot welding, metal noble gas (MIG), and tungsten noble gas , which are sorts of gas metal arc welding, arc welding, and gas welding, to name a few. Welding can even be done underwater.

Types of welding Joints:

 Welding Joints

1.    Butt Joint:

A connection between the ends or edges of two parts making an angle to at least one another of 135-180° inclusive within the region of the joint.

2.    T Joint:

A connection between the top or fringe of one part and therefore the face of the opposite part, the parts making an angle to at least one another of quite 5 up to and including 90° within the region of the joint.

3.    Corner Joint:

A connection between the ends or edges of two parts making an angle to at least one another of quite 30 but 135° within the region of the joint.

4.    Edge Joint:

A connection between the sides of two parts making an angle to at least one another of 0 to 30° inclusive within the region of the joint

5.    Lap Joint:

A connection between two overlapping parts making an angle to at least one another of 0-5° inclusive within the region of the weld or welds.
